UCI continues to be recognized as one of the best universities in America.
Earlier this month, UCI nabbed the ninth spot in U.S. News & World Report’s 2023-24 list of “Best Public Colleges & Universities.” (This is the ninth consecutive year in which UCI has placed in the top 10.)
The university’s health care system is also top-rated. In fact, UCI Health has been nationally recognized as a five-star hospital, a top-10 ambulatory service, and a top-10 academic medical center as part of the 2023 Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD, Quality Leadership Annual Ranking by Vizient, Inc.
UCI has a history of attracting some of the most influential and brilliant leaders in the world. The school’s professors and researchers include Nobel laureates, recipients of the National Medal of Science, and members of the most prestigious scholarly, scientific and professional organizations.
The university has also been recognized as a leader when it comes to diversity. UCI’s Paul Merage School of Business is ranked No. 2 in the nation for the percentage of female faculty and No. 5 in the world according to The Financial Times 2023 rankings. With several recent hires, the business school’s percentage of female faculty members currently stands at an impressive 44%.
Dean Ian Williamson, who heads UCI’s Paul Merage School of Business, credits the school’s commitment to inclusive excellence as the core principle that is driving this growth.
Irvine residents are fortunate to live in a community that includes this remarkable university.
