Irvine-Based Business Helps New Immigrant Families Integrate into the Local Community While Teaching the Importance of Giving Back

by

The U.S. Center for Education Consulting (UCEC) is an educational consulting firm, with an Irvine-based office.

UCEC is dedicated to helping students and new immigrant families integrate into the local community and assisting them in their children’s educational planning. The Community Service Class is one of the workshops that UCEC offers to help new immigrant families understand the concept of American community culture and the importance of helping our neighbors.

During September & October, UCES held four classes in Irvine with elementary school students, to teach children the importance of empathy and helping people by showing kindness and compassion to others.

The children were asked to use their imagination and creativity to decorate bookmarks and snack bags to be donated to children in need.

UCES then invited representatives from the Children’s Defense Fund in Los Angeles, Standup for Kids in Orange County, and Foster Children Association of Pasadena to attend a donation ceremony where each organization received donations of $3,000 and items created by the participating families.
