To win an election, a big-money special interest, such as developer FivePoint Communities, supports their candidate(s) by funding known organizations that pay for positive political ads filled with false and misleading, but flattering information.
They also fund — with dark-money organizations set up as “independent expenditure committees,” or PACs (Political Action Committees) with appealing names that actually promote the opposite of what their name implies. They can sponsor either positive or negative ads with misleading information or just plain lies.
FivePoint has funded the Wagner and Kuo campaigns with over $1 million.
