Former Irvine Mayor Larry Agran announced his candidacy for a seat on the City Council. For more than three decades, Agran strategically guided the City. A strong proponent of the Irvine Master Plan, Agran established common-sense growth control policies.

And on critical issues that impacted Irvine residents, Agran used his skills as a public interest attorney to draft ballot measures so that Irvine’s voters — not developers — had the final say.

The Finnish software development and design company, Vincit opened offices in Irvine back in 2016.  Since then, they have created customized mobile apps for companies like Yamaha, GE Healthcare, Kellogg’s, and the Irvine Company.

The company has also racked up a lot of awards for being a great place to work.

With failed leadership at the County and City level, Orange County now has the grim distinction as the California county with the second-highest number of cases, more than doubling the number of new cases in July.

With the talent and resources available in this City, Irvine should have been the epicenter for establishing good health policies that radiated throughout the County and across all of Southern California. Instead, Irvine is simply another Orange County city now at the epicenter of this pandemic.
