September is National Preparedness Month!
In times of disaster, an informed public is better prepared to protect themselves, their families, their workplace, and their neighbors.
To gain a better understanding of the community’s preparedness before a disaster hits, the City of Irvine has launched a Community Disaster Resiliency Survey.
The survey is intended to offer insight into residents’ awareness of emergency alert methods and evacuation zones, as well as residents’ overall readiness for emergencies such as earthquakes, wildfires, power outages, and other disasters. To take the survey, click here.
Results from the survey will be used to improve disaster planning and tailor outreach, education, and training to meet community needs.
For information on how you and your family can be better prepared for emergencies, visit the City’s website here.
