Throughout the summer, there will be a variety of outdoor community events for families, friends, and neighbors to gather and enjoy summer fun at the City of Irvine’s award-winning parks. The “Summer in the City” events are free. No tickets or pre-registration are required to attend these events.
Movies on the Lawn
On select Friday evenings, Irvine residents are invited to watch family-favorite films under the stars on a giant outdoor screen at Hicks Canyon Community Park (3864 Viewpark Avenue). Bring low-back chairs, blankets, and picnic meals, or enjoy gourmet options from food trucks available at each event. Films begin just after sunset.

Summer Concerts
Enjoy live concerts at Mike Ward Community Park (20 Lake Road). Bring your own snacks or purchase food from gourmet trucks available at each event. Concerts begin at 5:30pm.

Symphony in the Cities
On Sunday, August 3rd at 7pm, enjoy an evening of orchestral classics, pop favorites, and patriotic tunes performed live by the Pacific Symphony at Mike Ward Community Park. There will be pre-concert activities for all ages, starting at 5:30pm.
