Kalynne Abraham is a junior at Portola High School. When she isn’t focused on her studies, Kalynne is passionate about basketball.
This past March, Kalynne decided to try out for the national Philippines basketball team. Only 20 students were selected to join the national training camp. Kalynne was one of the athletes selected to participate in both the U16 and the U18 national team training camp.
Kalynne spent August training with the U18 training camp, under the direction of Coach Cassie Klockgether of UC Irvine Women’s basketball team.
After the training camp, Kalynne was selected as one of the top 8 players to represent the Philippines at the 2022 FIBA Women’s Asia Cup in India, which took place earlier this month. She came home with a bronze medal!
When she isn’t globe-trotting, Kalynne is part of the Portola High School varsity basketball team.
