In the race for Irvine’s congressional seat, Democratic incumbent Dave Min has won re-election with about 57% of the vote.
In the State Assembly race, Democratic incumbent Cottie Petrie-Norris has also won re-election, with 62% of the vote.
Irvine Mayor Larry Agran secured a clear mandate in his re-election bid, capturing about 70% of the vote — more than any other mayoral candidate in Orange County.
In the City Council races, Melinda Liu is currently ahead by 43 votes in District 1 while Betty Martinez Franco appears to be headed for re-election in District 5 and Kathleen Treseder appears to have won the District 6 race.
