Irvine’s Student-Led Organization is Helping Minority Students Succeed Academically Across America

by

The national student-led 501c(3) non-profit organization, Ask Us Another, was founded in 2019 by high school students right here in Irvine.

Initially established by Irvine students to provide academic assistance to our local Chinese community, the organization now provides those same services to students in underserved communities across the nation.

The group works to help bridge the educational gap that persists in underprivileged communities by providing personalized tutoring, mentoring, and guidance to students.

In addition to its tutoring services, the organization translates positive news stories into multiple languages to bridge the communication gap and promote inclusivity among immigrant children.

Board member Clarice Xu says she is particularly proud of the fact that, even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the group continued to provide online tutoring services to 60 students.
