Irvine-Based Business Helps New Immigrant Families Integrate into the Local Community While Teaching the Importance of Giving Back

by

The U.S. Center for Education Consulting (UCEC) is an educational consulting firm, with an Irvine-based office.

UCEC is dedicated to helping students and new immigrant families integrate into the local community. Each year, UCES hosts a Community Service workshop to help families understand the concept of American community culture and the importance of helping our neighbors.

From September thru December, UCES held five workshops in Irvine with elementary school students — teaching children the importance of empathy and compassion.

Students crafted blankets for a local animal shelter; created bookmarks for children in need; and decorated rocks with messages for our local seniors. The children and their parents then visited the Tustin Animal Shelter and the Orange County Rescue Mission where they dropped off their handmade crafts along with bags of food and supplies to each organization, along with a generous financial donation.
