The oldest standing structure on the Irvine Ranch — built in 1877 — is also home to the Irvine Historical Museum.
The museum is filled with a treasure trove of photographs and artifacts that help tell the story of Irvine.
It is located at 5 San Joaquin and is open to the public on Sundays and Tuesdays from 1-4pm. (The museum is also open by appointment.)
Since the museum is staffed entirely by volunteers, visitors are asked to call ahead of time, just to be sure it is open.
Although admission is free, donations are appreciated.
To contact the Irvine Historical Museum, call (949) 786-4112 or email the museum at info@irvinehistory.org.
