Plans for the proposed 20-acre Wild Rivers Water Park were submitted to the City for review this week.
If approved by the Planning Commission, construction could begin next year at the Great Park, with a scheduled opening date of May 2022.
The original Wild Rivers closed in 2011 after the Irvine Company chose to build apartments on the property that had been leased to the water park for more than two decades.
