In October, all Irvine residents will be transferred from their current provider of electricity — Southern California Edison (SCE) — and automatically enrolled in the new Orange County Power Authority (OCPA) plan at a higher monthly rate.
If you would like to save a little money this summer before you are moved to the OCPA plan, you may want to sign up for the SCE Summer Discount Plan.
There’s no cost to enroll or participate in the program. Flexible program options let residents choose their level of comfort and savings, and participants can receive up to $180 in summer season credits.
