Gross Motor Skills: Practicing movement is a great way to enhance a child’s gross motor skills. Gross motor skills are defined as abilities that involve the large muscles of the arms, legs, and torsos. Crawling, running and jumping would fit into the category of gross motor skills and help build muscle control and balance. Pretend City uses Winnie the Pooh Day as a way to entice children to practice these skills in a fun and engaging way.
