On May 12th, the City Council voted to adopt the citizens' initiative to build the Veterans Memorial Park & Cemetery on the ARDA site at the Great Park. Construction can begin immediately — using a small portion of the $170 million that has been paid into the Great Park Development Fund by the State. Money in the Great Park Development Fund is reserved for Great Park amenities — separate and apart from the City's General Fund.
